Blackbird carefully lined herself to the border of the two clans. The thick patch of various herbs astounded her, how she was so lucky that it was hers and hers only, and how she could yowl about to anyone who touched it. She started digging up roots and snagging leaves, going around in circles to go down her list.
Coltsfoot, cobwebs, burdock, catmint, check !
She held her head up in pride at the small collection at her paws, the supplies she could use to heal her clanmates and make Starclan proud with her progress.

".. Halt, I can hear someone." A mottled grey tom whispered to the patrol behind him. They nodded and stayed back, and the tom moved forward, only to reveal that it was the clan's head medicine cat.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Blackbird! We shouldn't interrupt you, should we?" The deputy apologised, bowing his head a little, embarassed.
"I'll make it up to you though.. Would you like me to carry those herbs back to camp for you, or something of the like?" |

Blackbird stiffened at the tom's command.
She stared for a bit, processing the words he'd given.
" Ah, that would be much help. I apologize for getting so close to Moonclan border. Again, my apologies. "

"Oh no, we were headed in the wrong direction anyway." Snowtail laughed nervously, leaning down and picking up a collection of herbs gently in his mouth, being careful not to bite too hard to ruin the plants, or to take a taste of these. They would probably be as foul as crowfood.

Blackbird chuckled, straightening up with leaves and petals hanging from her jaw's tight lock.
" Why so bashful, Snowtail ? " she asked, hinting towards the nervous laugh. She stared walking, dodging under-brush and trees to get to camp.

Snowtail followed diligently, trying to keep a few steps back from the she-cat.
"Well.. Hahaa... Pepperstar is carrying kits at the moment, and she scares the living daylights out of me. I guess I was thinking all she-cats would be the same."

Blackbird stifled another laugh.
" I'm not scary. I'm a medicine cat; I have to make sure the whole clan likes me. "
" Are they your kits ? " she asked shortly after, not looking back.
" If they are, don't worry about that, Pepperstar is probably going through the motherly nature process where she will try to protect her kits from the father; as in the wild a male wolf will try to eat the cubs. "
She finally turned back to look at him when they approached thick bushes.

"I guess so." The deputy spoke through the herbs in his mouth.
"Yeah, they are actually." He murmured, cheeks feeling hot as he thought of the head-strong ginger she-cat.
"I see.."

Blackbird turned fully, setting her herbs down so she could speak correctly without misinterpretation.
" Thank you for helping me, Snowtail. Very kind of you. "
The medicine cat straightened up, a smile spread across her face.
" Will I be seeing you again ? "

"Besides, I hear you're a pretty top-notch medicine cat."
